Biff Jones is entering his 3rd season as a Tigers assistant coach. During his short time coaching at Broken Arrow the Tigers were Dual State Champions in 2014 and Team State Champions in 2015. He has coached five Tiger wrestlers to individual State Championships in 2 years. Coach Biff teaches US History at BAHS.
Coach Biff started his coaching career at Glenpool HS in 2001. In five years at Glenpool, the warriors won 9 individual state titles. The 2003 Glenpool team won the class 3A State Team Championship, finished as runner-up in 2004, and placed 3rd in 2005. Before joining his brothers at Broken Arrow, Coach Biff was also the head coach at Sapulpa HS from 2006-2013. While at Sapulpa the Chieftains won 5 individual state championships. Coach Biff’s teams were district champions 6 out of the 8 years he was their head coach.
Coach Biff graduated from Tulsa Webster High School 91’, where he wrestled for his dad Ernie Jones. Biff was the 1991 State runner-up at 130 pounds. Coach Biff then went to the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned All-American honors placing 4th in the nation at 150lbs helping UCO win the 1993 NCAA Division II Team Championship. After missing the second half of the season his sophomore year at UCO with a broken arm Coach Biff decided to transfer to the University of Oklahoma for his last two years. Due to NCAA rules, Coach Biff was unable to compete his junior year at OU. In his senior year, Biff was the Big 8 runner-up for the Sooners and earned the # 7 seed at the NCAA tournament. Coach Biff graduated from the University of Oklahoma 97’.
Coach Biff has been married to Andrea for 13 years and has 2 daughters (Josie -12 and Laney - 9) and a son (Owen - 9). Biff and Andrea are expecting a third daughter in September. Coach Biff enjoys cycling, mountain biking, and dirt bike racing in his spare time.
